'Furuta' Furuta Confectionary sells 'Choco Eggs' (the Japanese version of the Ferrero 'Kinder Eggs'), a hollow chocolate egg with a plastic capsule inside that holds a toy of some sort. After various series of animals, Furuta released a series of eggs that contains 17 (+1*) different Nissan models in near 1/87, the 'Nissan Collection'. Although listed as Furuta on this site, the toys/models are not manufactured by Furuta, they are bought from either Kaiyodo or Takara. We are not sure who makes the Nissan models, if anyone does, please let us know so we can update this page. Furuta 'Choco Eggs' are mainly sold in Japan, but can occasionally be found in Hongkong too. The models themselves (without the chocolate) are also available from various toyshops and have already been spotted on Ebay as well. * The 'secret' model, which is not pictured in the little flyer that comes inside the egg and can not be found on the Furuta website either. In August 2006 Furuta announced a second series of Nissan models, the 'Nissan Museum'. This series consists of 12 models (11 + 1 secret model) and has been released in September 2006.
In October 2006 Furuta announced a series of Mazda models, this series also consists of 12 (11 + 1) models and has been be released in December 2006
In December 2006 Furuta announced a second series of Toyota models, this series also consists of 12 (11 + 1) models and has been released in January 2007
