The Renault Clio was first presented in 1990 as the successor of the successfull Renault 5 and was the first Renault that had a name instead of a number. After several minor design changes the Clio Phase II was launched in 1998 and this is the model that is now made by AWM.

Positive: The model is of AWM quality, all measurements are correctly converted to 1/87. The model features head- and rearlight inserts in transparant plastic, typical rims and tampo-printed door protection. Both the wipers (front and rear) and the mirrors are part of the body and have the same colour as the body. The interior is moulded in black with the steeringwheel added as a seperate part.
Negative: The modelling of the headlight inserts seems to have caused some troubles, they do not represent the headlightunits as found on the prototype correctly. Apart from that, both the head- and rearlight inserts have damages caused by removing the parts from the sprue.
