Dinky Toys - Meccano
Being one of the most famous manufacturers of die-cast models in the world, Dinky Toys produced most of its range of vehicles in 1/43rd to 1/55th scale. Some of the early British made Dinkies were in 1/75th (Bus or tramways) or 1/80th scale however, and are considered to be within the scope of this site. Apart from these models, Dinky Toys also produced an 'OO'-scale series of models under the 'Dublo' name, which were meant to be used as train accessories from 1958 untill the early 1960s and a series of models under the 'Mini-Dinky' name.

Dublo Dinky
A series of assembled die-cast models in 1/76 or 'OO'-scale (dublo = double O). This range of smaller models was introduced by Dinky Toys in 1957 and was meant to complement Hornby Dublo model railways. Production stopped in the mid 1960s (1964 ?).
