Joy Toy

PIC-R    Model International

Although commonly known under the JoyToy name, these models were actually made in Greece by Vidalis Brothers. All models have an 'AB' logo on the bottom plate, two versions of the logo are pictured below, the 'AB' stands for 'Adelphoi Bitali', which is Greek for 'Brothers Vitalis'.

* Information received from Nick Galousis: 'As a child I owned some of these plastic models, all of them were bought in the early seventies, so there are much older than your database reports. I believe they must be from around 1970-1973. Also I believe the racing-car models are not 1/87 scale. At least the Porsche I have in front of me right now is 1/69 since it is 5.8 cm long. From what I recollect, the Aston Martin and the Mercedes racing cars were of similar length.'

As for the O302 bus, it has been available in two versions, of which one version had green glazing, both versions are pictured below. Several versions of the Mercedes-Benz O302 bus, with different printing, have been available through Model International:
